Late breaking news! Saturday, May 9th from 12:00 - 3:00 PM -  is Demo Day at Avila Bay Club sponsored by Tennis Warehouse. All members and friends are invited to meet the reps from Wilson, Prince, Volkl, Head & Babolat, try out the racquets and win prizes during this 3 hour fun hit-around.

May 16th and 17th 
are the dates of 
Five Cities Tennis Association's Annual Spring Tournament and Bar-B-Que held at the Soto Park Sports complex. Association members who play in the tournament receive a 50% discount on their entry fee. The Famous Fuhrmann's will be doing the grilling  and cooking for our Saturday the 16th Bar-B-Que that is included in your entry fee. We always appreciate any side dishes you bring to share. As usual we have to limit the amount of entries per class, so get your entry in early to get a guaranteed spot. Entries are already coming in.. For those of you that want to play in the tournament and do not have a partner, send in your entry blank and we will try to match you up. Deadline is Monday May 11th.

Tennis Warehouse
is holding its annual Memorial Day SIDEWALK SALE starting Friday, May 22nd thru Monday, May  25th. Hours are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Starting Friday morning over 2,000 pieces of apparel will be offered from $5.00 and 1,000 pairs of shoes with special discounts. Check out all the racquets on sale and the deep discounts on all other apparel and shoes. Make sure that you sign up for the drawing of a $50 gift card and other fun give-aways. You do not want to miss this one.  Tennis Warehouse is located  181 Suburban Road in SLO. Suburban Road is between Los Osos Valley Road and Tank Farm Road off south Higuera.
 
Arroyo Grande's own Andre Dome is the first Mustang to be named Big West Freshman of the year and Big West Athlete twice during the tennis season. Andre was 8-4 before an ankle injury hobbled him for the balance of the season. Cal Poly's 2010 tennis season looks to be even better with returning players and talented recruits.

Vandals struck at Soto Park recently doing damage to both  Park District and Five Cities Tennis property. Five Cities Tennis is offering a $100 reward for the arrest and conviction of the offending party or parties.

Coach Lori Hollister is holding a youth tennis camp June 29th to July 2nd at Arroyo Grande High School. Contact Lori at  lh751bear@hotmail.com

Creative Athletics
is holding a summer tennis camp from June 17th till July 17th . Contact Scott Cleere at 431-6758 for details.

Membership for the Five Cities Tennis Association is only $25.00 for the entire family for the year and our light key program is only $25.00. Five Cities Tennis Association is an all volunteer association with all monies collected going directly to improve and keep our courts in top shape.  Membership applications are available at the courts and  here.
