AUGUST 2008 NEWSLETTER

We are into our third week of the six week  US Open Series http://www.usopenseries.com/home/default.sps  leading into the  US Open http://www.usopen.org/home/default.sps  The recently completed first two events have provide us with some great tennis and surprises. The US Open which starts August 25th and is the last of the Grand slams for this year, appears that it's going to be one of the best in recent years. For those of you not going to New York to see the event, check your local TV schedule for dates and times.

Which is a perfect time to remind you about our Summer Slam Tournament coming up the weekend of August 23rd and 24th. For those of you that missed our last event, get your entry in early. Entry Form  Photos from our last tournament are posted on our web site at www.fivecitiestennis.com.  Notice two changes to our tournament. An A- class has been added and all matches are best of 3 with a 10 point deciding match tie breaker in lieu of the third set.

Paul Fiala is holding Mental Toughness Clinics and Tactics Clinics for Advanced and Intermediate Tournament Players, and  "kids camps" for beginning players in the 8-11 age range.

Membership for the Five Cities Tennis Association is only $25.00 for the entire family for the year and our light key program is only $25.00. Five Cities Tennis Association is an all volunteer association with all monies collected going directly to improve and keep our courts in top shape.  Membership applications are available at the courts and online at our  website http://fivecitiestennis.com/
