The US Open series (
http://www.usopenseries.com/Tournaments/ )started July 31st in
Atlanta, Ga. and culminates with the beginning of the 2010 U S Open
August 30th at Flushing Meadows, New York. Great TV coverage for the
next six weeks. Check your local listing for times.
On the local tennis scene, this is the first call for our 2010 Summer
Slam event to be played August 28th and 29th at Soto Park. As
a special bonus ALL current Five Cities Tennis memberships will
have their entry fee waived in any one class entered. This is to
celebrate your 25 plus years of supporting tennis on the Central Coast.
Due to time and space we will have to limit the number of players, so
get your entry in early.
Tennis Warehouse's Labor Day Weekend Sidewalk Sale will be held
Friday, September 3rd through Monday, September 6th. Hours are 9:00 am
to 5:30 pm. New, returned apparel marked as low as $5.00 and new,
returned shoes marked down as low as $25.00. Get them while supplies
last. Additional discounts are available on regular priced racquets and
shoes. You do not want to miss this one! Tennis Warehouse is
located at 181 Suburban Road in SLO. Suburban Road is between Los
